We have three areas –
Chicks – which is our 0-2 room
Cygnets – which is our 2-3 room
Robins – which is our Pre-School room
Each room has been assigned a birds name – Chicks (under 2’s room), Cygnets (2 year olds), Pre-School room is called Robins (3 and 4 year olds). The children move up to the next room around their burthdays.
Prior to changing rooms, children will visit the next room to experience the day there. At this point you child will be appointed a new key person who will work alongside the previous key person to ensure a smooth transition. We have a key person system in place. The key person attends to the personal needs of each child in their care and helps to ensure the smooth transition to the next room. Each room offers a
progression of activities to ensure the continuing development of each child to the best of his or her abilities.
All children within the nursery and school reception year follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). This covers their learning and development, as well as safeguarding and welfare
